UUWT donates 20 new laptops to home schooling Uxbridge families

Uxbridge United Welfare Trust (UUWT) this week purchased and delivered 20 laptops to families struggling with lockdown learning. Working in conjunction with 10 local schools the Trust has supplied laptops and chromebooks to help youngsters continue with their education during the pandemic.

Uxbridge United Welfare Trust (UUWT) this week purchased and delivered 20 laptops to families struggling with lockdown learning. Working in conjunction with 10 local schools the Trust has supplied laptops and chromebooks to help youngsters continue with their education during the pandemic. Both High Schools and Primary Schools across the Trust’s area of benefit have received new equipment.

The devices cost over £5000 in total but the Uxbridge based charity is sure the money is well spent. “Education is vitally important for the outcomes of all children and the Trust has once again stepped in to assist the most needy” said Dominic Gilham General Manager of the Trust. “As a   Trustee Board we are  very clear on how we should allocate our funding and every year we grant in excess of £100,000 to local good causes and individuals” said Susan James Chairman of the Trustee Board.
